My Clients
People I work with come from various countries and cultures. They are open minded and well traveled, have gained a good amount of life and work experience, are advanced in their careers and consider themselves successful in their area of expertise.
However, they typically feel something is missing in their lives. The missing parts mostly relate to those aspects of a career that are not immediately visible to an external observer, such as physical and mental wellbeing, having time for meaningful relations with family and friends, or being able to make full use of their creativity and strengths. My clients realize that living a rich life is not just based on status and income, but rather in the alignment of professional and private matters with their inner values. About Anke Berning
Born and raised in Germany, I now live in Lucerne, one of the most beautiful areas in the world!
I have always been interested in foreign countries and languages. Following a commercial training I studied German Literature and Modern Japan in Düsseldorf and spent a year in Tokyo.
After my graduation I worked for the City of Sapporo for two years and then relocated to Brussels, coordinating an export promotion campaign to Japan.
From Belgium I moved to London, where I got a foothold in the finance sector. After yet another change of country, this time to Switzerland, I started to work for a small wealth management company in Zurich.
Having worked free-lance as an intercultural trainer and consultant since 2006, I got certified as a business- and life coach in 2014, and consequently split my working time between compliance work on one side and delivering intercultural trainings and coachings on the other side.
There is a common thread throughout my previous and current jobs: the intermediation between cultures, the discovery of new perspectives and helping people find direction in a globalized world.
